Once
Bob had completed all the mechanics on his '69 Camaro
he proceeded to address the exterior aesthetics. Bob
Owen knew exactly what he wanted and the people to help
him achieve it. The '69 needed a presence that would
command nothing less than authority and respect among
the Porsche and Ferrari elite, so the task was handed
over to the very capable hands of Automotive Enterprise.
The technicians at Automotive Enterprise treated the
Camaro to custom flares, which started out as FIA flares
for a '69 Corvette. A front spoiler was mocked up to
meet with the front flares using a clay form. Automotive
enterprise then built a custom mold to produce a fiberglass
custom front spoiler, which was also done in-house.
The Camaro was then prepped and sprayed Ferrari Metallic
Grey with a custom-racing stripe laid down with Grigio
Quartz. This 697 HP and 650 lb-ft beast has been featured
in the pages of many notable car enthusiast publications
such as HOT RODDING (June 2004), HOT ROD
(July 2004), and CAMARO PERFORMERS (Fall of
2004).
